Racism in American schools is one of the most spread ways of expressing prejudice and dissatisfaction as children can be cruel, and the absence of an appropriate explanation is a reason for increased racial discrimination at school. What will it take to dismantle an inherently racist education system that holds our students back? This was the question that New Profit Partner and Diversity, Equity, Inclusion (DEI) Lead Marco Davis discussed with three other leaders at SXSW EDU 2019 on a panel titled “From Equity to Anti-Racism in Education.” Racism is so deeply innate that it is believed that racism no longer exists in our country.
